TRIUMPH OF HIS MAJESTY

If the accuser has anything to say, it is only because a troubled society is evidence of flawed human character. If there is any hope for an increasingly troubled world, it is because there is One who loves mankind deeply. Without this Holy One, there will be no hope for anyone, and for the world. This was the high-stake drama that took place one day. Someplace, where the sky is ethereal, and darkness covers the horizon like a thick blanket.

Peaks of eternal mountain ranges stood tall in the distant horizon, like the humps of a caravan of camels. Each mountain peak complementing the others in perfect harmony. Here, time is meaningless, and light or darkness are the same. Suddenly, a Man in silhouette appeared on the highest mountain peak. With piercing Eyes of an eagle, He looked down on the entire universe: Especially on that tiny little planet spinning far below in the threshold of outer darkness. Nothing escapes His sight and notice. His piercing Eyes burning like flames of fire. He sees and observes everything, even the smallest insect and leaf that falls to the ground in the middle of the great Amazon forest. He hears every conversation taking place in that noisy and troubled world far below. His massive blood-red Cape, hanging majestically on His broad Shoulders like the wings of an eagle. This is His secret place. The inner chambers of the Owner of the House. The eternal heights, even the eyes of angels cannot see.

Wings of His massive Cape folded, like an eagle perched on the branch of the tallest Sequoia tree. It was not yet time to fly in descent, into the world far below with the great glory and power evident all around Him. A world made up of increasingly troubled societies, singing the music of flawed human character. The look on His Face tells the story of the passion and mien with which He is about to descend, like lightening. The passion, His concern for humans plagued by flawed character: The mien, the great wrath with which He will judge the spirit of societies playing the music. Suddenly, as fast as thought, the Great Eagle disappeared from the mountain top. The Eagle flew! But not down to the turbulent world below. Instead, He flew inside the eternal mountains where was a great hall. Finally standing in one corner of the hall, He became thoughtful. The pleasant fragrance of His arrival filled the Great Hall with the purity and brightness of His Presence. The court session began, and the volcano erupted.

“Why should he get away with such a thing? He must be severely punished. And you must let me do it,” Satan the accuser erupted, shaking with hatred like a massive earthquake. The devil stood with a slight bow, in a mix of rebellion and submission before His Majesty to Whom every knee must bow. “He is guilty as charged, and You know it. I demand justice,” Hot fire with thick clouds of toxic sulfur bellowed and spewed out of the eruption, with unrelenting ferocity. Slightly irritated by the fallen angel’s irreverence, an elder sitting in court calmly retorted, “You did not have any tempter. Yet, the world below reels under the unrelenting swing of the tempter’s wand. It is written, ‘temptation will come, but woe to him by which they come.” The eruption eased like a deflated balloon, “But if You condemned me forever for my transgressions, why should he and all of them not pay also. Look at all the things he did.” And the transgressions of flawed human character began to flow out, one after the other like red-hot lava rushing down the mountain side. The river of accusations spewed out like the black smoke of an old locomotive train free-falling down the mountain side. Disrespectful, idolater, thief, a liar, fornicator, adulterer, quarrelsome, fighter, proud, covetous, malicious: And the list continued! For the human architype on a normal day in a troubled world, the accusations were all true! Stanley the accused cringed with guilt. The gift he brought to present to the King, hanging limply by his side. Calm and serene throughout the eruptions, the King continued looking skyward as if in conversation with Someone no one else but Himself can see and talk to. His countenance, pure and sparkling like the midday sun.

Filled with shame, Stanley feebly raised his gift to His Majesty. The king observed the human without taking the gift, and time stood still. It did not take long, and His concern turned to compassion. “No! You cannot do that! Will the Judge of the Universe not do what is right?” the accuser charged again without warning. This time, the King turned slowly to face the offending fallen angel. Was it His look, or what? Because the devil began trembling, and pleaded, “It is not yet time, Son of God.” In response, the King raised His mighty right Hand and rebuked the devil, “Be careful to worship the Lord your God. Now away with you, Satan.” The effect was astonishing! First, came the loud and rumbling sound, and the devil tumbled out of the room like lightning. It was truly not yet time. But the King will have mercy on whom He chooses to have mercy. And that, my friends, is not up to the devil. Turning to look again at the gift, this time, the King reached out and received it. Then gently took the hand of the human saved by grace, and pointed. As they walked further into Mount Zion, the sparkle in the King’s Eyes told the entire story. He loves to receive and help any sinner who honestly repents: And to do so with a gift, is a winner any day! What a gift, to respond to His Majesty’s request for support to mass produce and distribute The One Gospel Bible: This first-time Scripture, He promised to use to display His power to perform the wonder of healing flawed human character in a troubled world.
